Big Hoot

The Big Hoot brought together businesses, artists, schools and the local community to create giant painted owls that were placed around the city. The owls were sponsored by companies and organisations. They were auctioned at the end of the event and managed to raise a tidy sum of £508,035 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The money will be used to create a Rare Diseases Centre, the first of its kind in the UK.

See how many of the 89 owls you can spot in this video we did for the Birmingham Post and Mail.
