Ember Television at Accountex, world’s largest accountancy show

Posted on: 6 May 2015

Ember Television exhibited at last year’s Accountex, the UK’s only exhibition for Accountants and Finance Directors. It took place at ExCel London on 13th and 14th May 2015.

The theme of the show was Accountancy: Sink or swim? and looked at industry best practices and how technology is changing the way accountants operate - one of our favourite subjects.

The lineup of expert speakers was impressive. The programme included Dave Coplin, Chief Envisioning Officer for Microsoft UK, who talked about ways of outsmarting the digital deluge by reimagining how we live and work. Piers Linney, star of "Dragon's Den", combined his accountancy background and entrepreneurial spirit to talk about how the Cloud will change the way accountants operate. Finally, Mark Appel, Global Marketing Director at Exact, entered the social media debate by sharing how he uses to create business opportunities for Exact in the global market.

We had the pleasure of meeting many of the speakers, plus a whole crowd of accountants from all over the UK who were exploring new and best practices that they could use in their own businesses. We produced the video above to promote the event for 2016. If you're an accountant looking to take your business to the next level, we recommend going along. The details are available from Accountex.
