My favourite article this week came from Andrew Schulkind of Target Marketing, on the importance of self-improvement through content - ‘No, you haven’t accidentally wandered into the self-help section of the bookstore, though the different perspective that those books so often peddle may be helpful..’
It’s easy to get stuck into ‘teach-mode’ as you produce content - often it seems like the most straightforward way to publish posts that your audience will find useful. Forgetting that content marketing is a two-way street, however, is a common pitfall. Making successful content means finding the way of posting that resonates most with your audience - and to do that, you have to be paying attention to their voices as well as your own.
