As 2021 is winding to an end, many are starting to reflect on what has been another somewhat unusual year. As with 2020, the ongoing pandemic has been the elephant in the room – and our featured article for this final #ContentCatchUp of the year looks at how the continuing challenges have been reflected in the content put out by brands.

From all the Ember team, we wish you all a happy and peaceful Christmas and look forward to getting back into production on a number of projects in the new year.

“We all thought that the world would be back to some sort of normality in 2021 – even if it was the ‘new normal’ – but as we now know all too well, it’s been a difficult ride. This is reflected in the advertising that brands created, much of which tackled the challenges presented by the pandemic head on, often with humour … Considering the restrictions that were placed on shoots and production, we also saw a surprising commitment to craft this year, with a plethora of beautifully created Christmas ads released, and plenty of blockbuster spots sprinkled across the year.”
