Research has underlined the need for travel companies to engage with consumers through video.
A study by Ipsos MediaCT, commissioned by Google, found that people are using video at every stage of the customer journey - from deciding where to travel to selecting a website to book through.
The research also revealed that consumers are watching videos on a range of different devices, and that they're producing and sharing their own content more than ever before.
Google says the two key takeaways for marketers are that they should:
Develop and promote video content that allows them to bring the sights and sounds of their destination, property or product to the consumer; and
Know how to leverage user-generated content to allow advocates to tell their story for them.
We've produced this infographic to illustrate the key findings.
